Mithunam (Director : Tanikella Bharani)


Story - Appadasu, a retired teacher, lives in a village with his wife Buchchi. While their children live abroad, they lead a blissful life with no insecurity or loneliness and enjoy life to the fullest.

"Mithunam" reflects the present situation of many parents who are left alone by their children. Instead they spent their life recalling their memories.This film is based on the novel written by Sri Ramana. "Mithunam" has been adjudged as India's entry for Oscars for "Best Foreign Film" category.


Andari Bandhuvaya (Director : Chandra Siddhartha)


Story - Nandu (Sharwanand) is simple man who helps and lives in simple manner, he watches all as his family members. Paddu (Padma Priya) belongs to a poor family and feeds her family with a normal job. She is optimist and straight forward. Accidentally she visits hero's village. She watches values of village. Her behavior and conduct changes.

An award winning moral Telugu movie released in 2010. It received Akkineni Award for best home-viewing feature film for the year 2010. An Excellent flick depicting what should be the true values of a human being.

 
Vanaja (Director : Rajnesh Domalpalli)


Story - A teen of low caste finds hardship and exploitation when she takes a job in a rich household.

This movie was awarded Best First Feature at Berlin Film Festival. Very few are aware that a telugu film actually won accolades all over the world. Despite that, people associated with this movie didn't get the recognition they deserved in their homeland.


Aithe (Director : Chandra Sekhar Yeleti)



Story - A don who wants to spread terror across the world hijacks a plane, and searches for four men without any criminal records to carry out the operation.

Another beautiful script with execution. A proof to tell that it doesn't require crores of rupees and big names and mass songs to make a film. A solid story and some sensible acting is good enough. 

 
Katha (Director: Raga Srinivas)


Story - Chitra, a lonely girl, spends a year in an asylum. She is petrified when she witnesses another murder and refuses to believe that it is her hallucination.

A thriller which is far better than most other mass entertainers. May not be at its best but still underrated as per industry audience


Karma (Director: Adivi Sesh)


Story - Padma (Jade) is an Indian girl born and raised in the US and during childhood she sees the murder of her father which shakes her faith in god. Years pass by and even her mother passes away. While she lives the life of loneliness and fear, a turn takes place as she comes across Dev (Sesh).

Karma deserves credit for being ambitious in its technical departments. It is purely for the bold attempt by speaking about a concept and the high quality of technical standards followed in the execution.


Mallela theeramlo sirimalle puvvu (Director: G. V. Rama Raju)


Story - Complicating society and tradition, a young woman falls for a sensitive artist after discovering her husband is only interested in money and power.

A visual poetry. A rare cinematic experience, cinematography and music make this film not just worth watch, but also re-watching. Though the characters talk in poetic terms, director has created a world that everyone can relate to.

Onamalu (Director: Kranthi Madhav)


Story - Narayana Rao (Rajendra Prasad) is a school teacher in a government school at a remote village. He goes to America to live with his son. He returns to the same village after few years and realizes that the place has changed a lot. Even the people have become quite selfish. Narayana Rao is upset with the discovery that more than the village it is everybody’s selfish desire that has become important with growing technology and development. Amidst all this, what did this teacher do? What solution did he show? All this forms the rest of the story.

Broker (Director: R. P. Patnaik)


Story - Ganapathi, a corrupt broker, uses his political links to get his work done. He doesn't change his ways even when his wife deserts him and son dies. But a new acquaintance gives him second thoughts.


Nakili (Director: Jeeva Shankar)


Story - An ex-convict forges signature of a deceased medical student to get enrolled in a medical college. He kills his roommate by accident in a dispute and fears that his identity will be revealed.


Nandanavanam 120 kms (Director: G. Neelakanta)


Story - Amir (Ajay) is a thief who makes a deal with Banerjee (Kota Srinivasa Rao) to scam the owners of the Nandanavanam estate for whom Banerjee works as an auditor.
