Who said you have to go to an IIT to be able to start your own successful career? Stop worrying about that myth. We have so many non IITian’s who made the nation so proud. 

Not believing in me? At least believe these people who didn't go to IIT, but did end up starting highly successful startups and also got prestigious awards. 

Here we are listing our Dynamic Legends who are not belongs to IITs but who made us proud

Sir M.Vishveshvaraiya:

The man after whom Engineer's day is celebrated was not an IITian. He was from College Of Engineering , Pune

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam:

This man. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is not an IITian. He beat everyone in India, to reach as high as the post of President of India. And is highly respected as a scientist.

Satya Nadella:

He did his B.E (not BTech.!), from MIT (Manipal Institute of Technology) (do not confuse with Massachusetts Institute of Technology).! and Now you know, he is the CEO of one of the World's topmost Tech company "Microsoft".

Rajeev Suri:

Rajeev Suri is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NOKIA company.
He perused his degree from Manipal institute of technology (MIT) which is in Karnataka. Same college where Satya Nadella perused his degree.

Venkat Ramakrishnan: 

This 2009 Nobel Prize winner for Chemistry and 2010 Padma Vibhushan awardee was not only rejected by all the IITs but also failed to get admission in Christian Medical College (Vellore). Unable to pursue engineering and medical, he settled for physics and then later moved to America for his post-graduation. And the rest is history.

Vinod Dham:

Also known as the Father of Pentium Chip, Dham finished his engineering from the modest Delhi College of Engineering (formerly a part of Delhi University).

In the year 1999, Vinod Dham took the stage and dreamt a dream, “Make a computer for 9,999 rupees and take it to the masses’” he told the gathering at IIT Mumbai. A student pointed out that you couldn’t even get a memory device for that kind of price. “If there isn’t one, you have to design one,” Dham shot back.

Sabeer Bhatia: 

The man, who created Hotmail and sold it to Microsoft for a fortune also did not go to any IIT.  He is a Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani pass out.

Kunal Shah, Freecharge:

The founder and CEO of Freecharge, Kunal Shah comes from a Arts background. He studied Bachelor of Arts in Mumbai's Wilson College and briefly pursued his MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies before dropping out.

Ritesh Agarwal, OYO Rooms:

Ritesh Agarwal, the founder and CEO of OYO Rooms started his business career at the early age of 17. He is not only the first Indian to win the Theil Felloship but also found a mention in Forbes 30 under 30 Young Achievers List. And, he did all this without going to IIT. In fact, he dropped out of Indian School of Business and Finance, Delhi.

Rahul Malhotra, Micromax:

Rahul Sharma, the CEO and co-founder of Micromax, the 10th largest mobile handset supplier globally didn’t go to an IIT either. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and a bachelor's degree in Commerce from University of Saskatchewan, Canada.

Vijay Shekhar Sharma, PayTM:

Now a days all kinds of transactions are happening with PayTM only.He had started college at DElhi College of Engineering when he was all of 15. He neither spoke English nor understood it and after being the butt of many a jokes, he self-taught himself.

Metro Man - E .Sreedharan:

Metro Man - E .Sreedharan is a really good example for being famous , non IITian and Engineer .

And So many in this list.!!!

If you see the current market, you will find number of  businessmen with huge pockets and no education, they are not IITians, just a simple people, who excelled with their dedication.

So be dedicated and have a broad vision and try to think one step ahead from your competitors, then you will become a successful Non IITian.
