Yesteryear actress Bhanupriya won the hearts of both family and youth in 1980s. She was especially appreciated for her classical dance moves. She was born on 15 January, 1967 in Rajahmundry, AndhraPradesh and she locally known with the name Manga Bhama and Bhanu Priya is her stage name. She remembered even today for her beautiful eyes, graceful dance moves and her acting skills. Her eyes itself does half the acting.
Bhanupriya make her debut at the age of 14 with the Telugu movie, ‘Sitaara’ directed by Vamsy. She went on to act in over 150 movies in various languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam.

1. When she started acting she changed her name to Bhanu Priya, and became a sensation virtually overnight with the grand success of “Sitaara”, a Telugu movie directed by Vamsi garu.
2. In each and every film she showed her unique performance. Eg: Jebu Donga,Sitaara,Swarna Kamalam, Pedaraayudu, Annamayya,Laahiri Laahiri Laahirilo etc etc..
3. She is the former model for Eyetex, an eyeliner.
4. She is an expert classical dancer. She was often referred to as the 'other Sridevi'.
5. When her career is in peak stage she attracted towards Bollywood and from then she lost her chances in Telugu films.
6. She fell in love with Adarsh Kaushal, a Hydarabadi settled in US as a digital graphics Engineer they got married in the year 1998. After getting a baby girl she got divorce (in 2005) form her husband and she now she is living with her lovely daughter Abhinaya in Chennai.
9. She is involved in a TV serial named Shakhti that is telecasted on Sun TV, and also plans to direct a film in Chennai that is going to deal primarily with classical dance Bharat Natyam).
10. She played a role of mother in Polladhavan with Dhanush and in Chatrapati with Prabhas.
11. At present she is visiting us everyday with her latest serial “Naathi Charaami”. It is a Family Drama,in which bhanupriya is an bharatanatyam teacher she teaching to the students and she having one daughter with her and she is famous dancer in bharatanatyam
